Image appeal following theft by finding in Bournemouth

Officers are issuing an image of a woman they would like to speak to as they investigate a report of theft by finding in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report on Monday 17 March 2025 that a woman believed she had lost her engagement ring at JD Gyms in Richmond Gardens Shopping Centre.

Following enquiries, it was reported that a woman was seen on CCTV picking up the ring and leaving the premises.

Police Community Support Investigator Jared Sharman, of Dorset Police, said: “This ring was of significant financial and sentimental value, and we have been carrying out enquiries to try and recover it for the owner.

“I am now in a position to issue an image of a woman we would like to speak to as part of our investigation and would urge anyone with information regarding her identity to please contact us. I appreciate the image is not the best quality, but it maybe someone is able to recognise her from her general build and clothing.”
