Yesterday, officers from the neighbourhood team had a really successful morning conducting joint visits in partnership with Dorset Council Trading Standards and HMRC to a number of vape stores across Weymouth town centre. We visited a number of premises to assist our partners whilst they searched for illegal vapes and cigarettes. Between us we visited 4 shops and searched a vehicle connected to one of the businesses, locating a large number of illegal vapes, cigarettes, tobacco, cannabis products and some class A drugs from the car. We will work long term with our partners to continue disrupting theses businesses and looking at other tactics to disrupt them.
