Appeal For Information

Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have witnessed racial abuse towards a young family who were walking through Asker Meadows, toward Morrisons Supermarket, Bridport on Wednesday 3rd September 2025.

It was reported that 4 males, in their late teens chased the female and her two children and were shouting racial abuse that was threatening toward her. One of the males was waving a stick at them. This was the fourth incident in the last couple of weeks where the female and her family have had racial abuse shouted at them whilst walking to Morrisons Supermarket.

PC Kirsti Frecknall of the Bridport Neighbourhood Team stated “This was a terrifying ordeal for the female and her young family, and there is absolutely no place for hate whatsoever. These are awful incidents for anyone to experience, and I would encourage anyone with useful information to please come forward quoting police reference number 55250132254"
