| Appeal for information following reported assault in Weymouth | ||
| Officers investigating a reported assault in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. 
 Dorset Police received a report at 4.13pm on Thursday 30 October 2025 of a disturbance in Abbotsbury Road in Weymouth. 
 It was reported that a man had been injured after being assaulted by another man. 
 Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening or life-changing. 
 A 35-year-old man from Weymouth has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time. 
 Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. 
 Police Constable Chloe Norman, of Dorset Police, said: βAn investigation is underway into this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward. 
 βI would also like to ask any motorists with dashcam who were in the area around the time of the incident, as well as residents in the vicinity with home CCTV, to please check their footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.β
