Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a burglary in the Merley area of the Poole
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a burglary in Poole. A garage at a home in the Merley area was broken into between 7.30pm on Thursday 27 November and 7.15am on Friday 28 November 2025. Two high value bikes, worth several thousand pounds, were stolen. They were both ‘Orange’ brand bikes – an orange-coloured electric bike and a white bike with Roval tyres. Police Constable Bev Beck, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out detailed enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Merley area on the night of Thursday 27 November into the morning of Friday 28 November 2025. “I would also like to hear from anyone who may have come across bikes matching those described above being offered for sale, either locally or online.” Officers are also issuing an image they have obtained of the stolen bikes in the hope that it may assist anyone who comes across a similar bike.
Police are also reminding residents to ensure that their property is secure. Follow this link to the Dorset Police website for crime prevention advice:
