Cheap Street One Way System

In response to complaints received from members of the public and local businesses Sherborne Neighbourhood Police Team officers carried out a proactive convert neighbourhood operation in the town centre to target motorists contravening traffic signs and prohibitions. 

One vehicle was seen to reverse through the no entry signs at the bottom of cheap street and was dealt with by issuing a fixed penalty notice.  The driver will now receive penalty points on their driving licence.

Moving forward these operations will continue and the issue of the lack of bollards at the bottom of Cheap Steet has been raised with the Town Council.
