Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious injury collision in Poole.
At around 4.50pm on Tuesday 2 June 2026 a collision occurred involving two bicycles in Grebe Close near to the footpath that joins with Martin Close.
The rider of one of the bikes – a man aged in his 40s – is receiving treatment in hospital for serious injuries.
It is reported that the rider of the second bike – a suspected electric bike – did not stop at the scene. He is described as white, possibly aged in his early 20s with light brown medium-length hair and a beard.
Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened or has information about the rider of the bike that left the scene to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to hear from residents in the vicinity who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or doorbell camera footage, including anything that shows the rider of a bike matching the description given.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260081781. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111. | ||
