Image appeal following assault in Sherborne

Officers are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify following an assault in Sherborne.

Dorset Police received a report at around 1.30am on Sunday 12 July 2026 of a fight involving two groups in Bristol Road.

Officers attended and located a man with injuries, who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Ben Hannigan, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries, I am issuing an image of a man I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the incident and has not already spoken to police.”
