Witness and dashcam appeal following collision in Ferndown

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a collision in Ferndown.

At around 5pm on Wednesday 26 August 2026 a collision occurred involving a black Nissan Qashqai and a silver car in Church Road.

No injuries were reported.

Officers attended and a 49-year-old woman from Ferndown was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. She has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

Police Constable Halle Meeks, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

“We understand that details were exchanged between those involved but the driver of the silver car left the scene before the arrival of officers and we have not yet been able to locate her. If this was you, please get in touch as we are keen to speak with you to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
