CCTV appeal following assault in Bournemouth

Detectives continuing to investigate an assault in Bournemouth town centre are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify.

It was reported that at around 3am on Sunday 2 August 2026 an 18-year-old man was assaulted by another man with a motorcycle helmet, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain a serious head injury.

Detective Constable Sophie Stockton, of BCP CID, said: “Our investigation into this matter remains ongoing and I am issuing a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding this man’s identity to please contact us.”
