Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

Good morning!

On Wednesday, PC Ash collaborated with the BCP Council Antisocial Behaviour Team to issue a full Closure Order on a flat in #PooleTown. *Problematic visitors, offending associates, or individuals linked to anti-social behaviour (ASB) and crime are strictly barred from the address. Entering or staying in a property in breach of a Closure Order is a criminal offense. These orders are valuable tools; they provide police and local authorities a way to stop ongoing criminality and ASB associated to a specific location.

Also on Wednesday, PCSOs Pete and Sam attended Broadstone First School. The purpose of the visit was to build positive relationships between young people and the police, promoting trust and confidence from an early age. During the engagement, they spoke with pupils about the role of the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), how we help keep communities safe, and who they can approach if they need support or advice.

On Thursday, several arrests were made as a result of proactive enquires and targeted action. During early morning arrest enquires, a male was located within a premises that was wanted on warrant, he was transported to custody and enquiries continued. Officers and PCSOs checked a second address where several individuals were located, two of which were arrested. One was wanted on a Prison Recall, 3 x theft offences and a burglary. The other was a suspect for an alleged burglary and a theft from a motor vehicle – what a result!

On Friday PCSOs Pete and Matt hosted a 2-hour Community Contact Point (CCP) at Costa Coffee in Broadstone as part of our commitment to be contactable at a regular time and location. We spoke to many people, all who had different questions to ask, concerns to raise and intelligence to report.

🥾 A large number of hours on foot and mobile patrol targeting our high harm areas and locations subjected to antisocial behaviour, such as Poole Town, Ashley Road, Bourne Valley Nature Reserve and Redlands Retail Park
