🚓 Blandford Policing Team Weekly Update 🚓
Another busy week for the Blandford NPT. Here is some of the activity we have been up to...
✅ Conducted a number of safe and well checks for vulnerable members of our community to ensure they were safe and receiving appropriate support.
✅ Carried out compliance checks at an address subject to a partial closure order. Officers found all conditions were being adhered to and no issues were identified.
✅ While on foot patrol in Blandford Town Centre, officers responded to a report of a recent theft. Extensive area searches were carried out for the offender and enquiries remain ongoing.
✅ Continued Op Track patrols and professional development activities within Blandford Town Centre, including providing updates and reassurance to a vulnerable victim.
✅ Assisted colleagues from Sturminster Newton with reports of a prolific shoplifter. Officers attended promptly, located and arrested the suspect, and recovered the stolen property which was returned to the store.
✅ Conducted welfare checks relating to a recent theft victim within the town.
✅ Made enquiries regarding two individuals wanted for failing to appear at court.
✅ Attended court in relation to a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) application.
✅ Visited and safeguarded a vulnerable victim of fraud, providing crime prevention advice and support.
✅ Continued enquiries to locate a wanted man within the Blandford area, which resulted in his arrest.
✅ Met with Sovereign Network Group to discuss problem properties, emerging community issues, and partnership working opportunities.
✅ Maintained regular high-visibility patrols throughout Blandford, engaging with local businesses, residents, and visitors to provide reassurance and address concerns.
