Verwood Neighbourhood Policing Team ππ Neighbourhood Policing Weekly Update ππ This week, your local neighbourhood policing team has continued working closely with our communities, focusing on crime prevention, tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting vulnerable individuals, and helping to resolve neighbourhood disputes across the area. πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ Community Patrols & ASB We have responded to reports of anti-social behaviour and suspected drug-related activity in both Verwood and Three Legged Cross, while maintaining regular high-visibility foot patrols in key locations, including Potterne Park. These patrols are particularly important during the school half-term period, providing reassurance and addressing local concerns. π¨ Officers also attended an alarm activation at Potterne Park and carried out follow-up enquiries where required. π€ Supporting Vulnerable Residents Our team has continued to support vulnerable members of the community and engage with residents to raise awareness of scams and fraud, helping people protect themselves from becoming victims. πβ οΈ Road Safety Update Road safety remains a key priority for the team. π Congratulations to the Alderholt Community Speed Watch (CSW) team on their first live deployment. Volunteers monitored 266 vehicles and identified 5 drivers travelling above the speed threshold. Those motorists will be receiving Community Speed Watch warning letters. πΈπ Speed Enforcement Activity Speed Enforcement Support Officer Janice Beck conducted enforcement on Horton Road, working alongside the existing Community Speed Watch team. π During the operation: β 35 speeding offences were identified and dealt with.
πββοΈπββοΈ Could You Volunteer? We are currently looking for additional volunteers to support Community Speed Watch schemes in Verwood and Sixpenny Handley. If you are interested in helping improve road safety and reduce speeding concerns within your community, we would love to hear from you. π¬ Thank you to everyone who continues to support local policing, report concerns, and work with us to help keep our communities safe. π‘π Together, we can make our neighbourhoods safer places to live, work and visit.
