Information sent on behalf of Dorset Alert

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following a robbery at a shop in Bournemouth and are releasing CCTV images of the suspect.

At 6.49pm on Thursday 18 June 2020 Dorset Police received a report of a robbery at Central Convenience Stores in Cunningham Crescent in Bournemouth. A man entered the shop, approached the staff at the till and threatened them with a knife, before reaching into the till, taking some cash and walking out.

Officers attended and carried out searches of the area, but no arrests were made.

Detective Constable Sam Knight, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This must have been a very distressing incident for staff at the store and we have launched a full investigation to identify the man responsible.

“We have obtained CCTV images of the suspect. I appreciate they are not great quality and his face is partially covered, but I would urge anyone who may recognise him from the clothes he is wearing and his build to please contact us.
