Witness appeal after man found with injuries in Poole

Detectives investigating an incident where a man was found with serious injuries in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

 Dorset Police received a call from the ambulance service at 10.24pm on Friday 9 October 2020 reporting that a man had been found injured in Bournemouth Road at the junction with Florence Road near to St Dunstan of Canterbury Orthodox Church. It was first reported to the ambulance service at 9.40pm.

 The man was taken to hospital with a head injury, where he remains in a critical condition. 

 Detective Inspector Amy Burbidge, of Bournemouth CID, said: “At this time we do not know how the man sustained his injuries and an investigation is underway to ascertain what happened and whether anyone else was involved.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything out of the ordinary in the area during the evening of Friday 9 October to please get in touch.

“I would also like to appeal to any motorists who were travelling in the area and have dashcam fitted to their vehicles to please check for any relevant footage to assist my enquiries.”
