Update in relation to reported assault in Bournemouth

A man has come forward and attended a voluntary police interview in connection with a reported assault in Bournemouth.

 It was reported that at around 9.10pm on Wednesday 26 August 2020 four men entered Charlie’s Chicken in Exeter Road and reportedly became aggressive toward a member of staff. The staff member was allegedly assaulted and suffered a broken thumb.

 Following a CCTV appeal, a 20-year-old Poole man has come forward and has attended a voluntary police interview. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
