Information sent on behalf of Dorset Alert

Detectives investigating a robbery at a shop in Bournemouth are issuing CCTV images of the suspect.

A man entered McColl’s in Commercial Road shortly after 4pm on Tuesday 15 December 2020 and approached the member of staff at the shop counter.

He made threats to harm them unless they handed over money from the till.

The victim feared for their safety and opened the till. The offender made off with a number of bank notes, leaving the store in the direction of Poole Hill.

Detective Sergeant Leo Glendon, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This must have been a very distressing incident for the member of staff and we are carrying out a full investigation to identify the offender.

“I am issuing CCTV images of the suspect and while I appreciate his face is partially covered, I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.
