Information sent on behalf of Dorset Alert

Officers investigating an assault on a member of staff at a restaurant in Bournemouth are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 9.10pm on Saturday 8 May 2021 three men were refused entry to the Urban Garden restaurant and bar on Exeter Crescent as it was fully booked. It is reported that one of the men proceeded to pick up a glass picture frame from a nearby table and hit a member of staff in the face with it.

The victim sustained a number of cuts to his face, ear and head and attended hospital for treatment.

Police Constable David Sweeting, of Dorset Police, said: “I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this assault to try and identify the man responsible.

“I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to and would urge anyone with information about his identity to please get in touch.”
