CCTV appeal following criminal damage in Ferndown

Officers investigating criminal damage to a bus in Ferndown are issuing CCTV images of the suspect.

At 7.20pm on Monday 6 September 2021 damage was caused to a Dorset Council-owned bus that was parked outside the Barrington Centre in Pennys Walk. It was reported that a brick was thrown through the glass of the passenger door.

Police Community Support Investigator Richard King, of Dorset Police, said: “The damage caused in this incident has resulted in the bus, which provides a valuable service for the local community, being taken off the road as repairs were carried out.

“We are carrying out enquiries into this matter and I am now in a position to release CCTV images of the suspect.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.

“We have carried out further CCTV enquiries in the area and our investigation is ongoing.”
