Officers investigating a burglary and subsequent fraudulent bank card use in Bournemouth are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

The victims – a man and woman – were staying at The Suncliff Hotel on East Overcliff Drive on Saturday 25 July 2020, when it is reported someone entered their room and stole their bank cards.

The victims subsequently received a call from a man purporting to be their bank. Their bank cards were later used in Christchurch to withdraw money from the accounts.

Police Constable Jessica Richmond, of Bournemouth police, said: “I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident since it was reported.

“I have now obtained a CCTV image of a man who used the stolen bank card in Christchurch and I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.
