Update in relation to reported dog bite incident in Weymouth

The owner of a dog that reportedly bit a man in Weymouth has been identified.

 It was reported that a man aged in his 80s was bitten on his hand by a dog as he walked along St Thomas Street at around 5pm on Monday 25 January 2021.

 The victim further reported that he was approached by a woman who said the same dog had also just bitten her.

 Following an appeal, the owner of the dog has been identified. No arrests have been made at this stage.

 We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.
