Witness appeal following criminal damage in Christchurch

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after damage was caused to a property and vehicle in Christchurch.

The incident occurred at around 1.20am on Monday 15 March 2021 at an address off Campbell Road. The victim was woken up by a loud bang and they discovered that a glass panel in a door and two windows had been smashed.

The victim subsequently discovered that a window in their vehicle had also been smashed.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, assisted by the dog section, but nobody was located.

Police Constable Jim Perks, of Christchurch police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident to identify who was responsible, including house-to-house visits in the area.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“I would also ask residents to check their home CCTV systems for any relevant footage to assist my investigation.”
